Samantha Sabo

Dr. Sabo’s research interests are in the social and political context of family health among Mexican immigrant and Indigenous peoples. Her work has been dedicated to the use of mixed, quantitative and qualitative methods to understand the social and structural determinants of health of Latinos of the US-Mexico borderlands and tribal nations. She is an emerging expert on documenting and advancing the role and impact of the Community Health Worker workforce on health. She has used community based participatory research and service-learning to build a ‘bottom up’ analysis of structural vulnerability and resilience among communities of the US Southwest.
