Rocío Rodríguez-Rey is a Health Psychologist and a Ph.D candidate in the Department of Biological and Health Psychology at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Spain. Her field of interest is resilience, mental health, and posttraumatic growth in children who suffer from severe illnesses and their families. More specifically, she has conducted most of her research in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. She has worked in oncology, pediatric intensive care, nephrology, and palliative care. The final aim of her research is to contribute to the challenge of improving life and services for children with severe illnesses and their families.
