Kathy Short

Kathy Short is a Clinical Child Psychologist whose research and practice interests focus on school mental health promotion, knowledge mobilization, and implementation science. She is the Director for School Mental Health ASSIST, a provincial team designed to help school boards support student mental health. This follows 12 years as the Manager for the Evidence-Based Education and Services Team with the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board. During this time, she was appointed to the Ontario Education Research Panel and chaired the School-University Research Exchange. She also leads the Knowledge Translation and Exchange Team of Canada’s School-Based Mental Health and Substance Abuse Consortium, and chairs the School Mental Health International Leadership Exchange.
