Dr. Kelly Dean Schwartz is Associate Professor in the School and Applied Child Psychology program and Director, U of C Applied Psychological and Educational Services (UCAPES), an on-campus clinic serving children and families Calgary and area. He has a Ph.D. in Social Psychology and an MSc in Educational Psychology from the University of Calgary. His research and teaching interests include the psychosocial factors contributing to adolescent and family development, particularly identity, moral, and faith development. Operationalizing a framework of positive youth development, Dr. Schwartz has studied the presence and power of developmental assets with children and youth on three continents.
