Jesús Alonso-Tapia is a full-time Professor in Psychological and Educational Assessment at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Specialized in Motivation, self-regulation, resilience and learning assessment, he received the First National Price of Education in 1997. He is author of many publications in journals such as Learning and Instruction, Journal of Learning and Individual differences, Spanish Journal of Psychology and Psicothema, and has published more than twenty books in Spanish, the most important ones being: Learning and motivation in the classroom: how to teach thinking (1991), Motivating in the school, motivating in the family (2005), Educational assessment and educational orientation (2012).
