Wanda is a former CBC Television producer and has also produced independent documentaries shedding light on social justice issues. As a community advocate, Wanda has worked extensively in under-served communities, where she was successful in developing innovative programs to address the specific needs of today's youth. Wanda's book, a vivid account of the abuses suffered by children in the Nova Scotia Home for Coloured Children, is set to be released this summer through Nimbus Publishing Inc. This powerful book doesn't hold back in its examination of our failures as a society to protect children from serious harm. But In doing so, it examines the strength and resiliency of the survivors and offers up the hope of restoration and healing for all of those effected by childhood trauma.
