Sharon McCloskey is a registered nurse. She has worked in the field of children's palliative care and supported children with complex health needs and their families for 20 years. She is particularly interested in factors that help build resilience in parents and families of children with complex health needs and is currently completing a PhD intervention study to develop and test the feasibility of a structured support programme to enhance resilience in this population. Sharon works as a manager with the Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice where she is a member of a multi-disciplinary team providing support for children with life-limiting conditions and their families.
