Roxanna Morote Rios

Assistant Professor of the Department of Psychology and Graduate School (Ma. in Community Psychology) in the Catholic University of Peru. PhD in Psychology (University of Leuven, Belgium) and Ma. in Gender and Ethnicity (Utrecht University, The Netherlands). My current research focuses on protective mechanisms of adults living in psychosocial disadvantage, mainly on women and community leaders (in resilience, hope, hopelessness, stressful life events, affective symptoms, empowerment, life narratives); as well as in community interventions (risk and disaster). I have been responsible for the management, design, and evaluation of psycho-educational programs in rural and urban communities (International Development Cooperation Programs, EEUU).
