Laurie A. Chapin, PhD is a psychology lecturer at Victoria University in Melbourne, Australia. She received her PhD in psychology from Colorado State University in 2010. Her research interests include studying resilience of vulnerable youth with a focus on cultural factors. Previous research interests were with Mexican boys and positive educational outcomes. Since moving to Australia in 2011 she has turned her attention to beginning to study resilience of local youth in metropolitan Melbourne.
