Kathryn Robertson

Kathryn Robertson is a Canadian trained social worker and has had experience in service provision for women, children and other vulnerable groups, in Canada and Asia. In Timor-Leste she helped to establish the first counseling and medical support service for family violence and sexual assault and coordinated the first study on the prevalence of VAW in Timor-Leste. Now she is leading the Services component of a 4 year $20 million program, focussing on strengthening services for victims in a resource poor, post-conflict settting. For 5 years, she managed a Euro 30 million program of recovery after the Asian Tsunami in 2004, focussing on strengthening resilience of communities at risk of disasters.
