Dr. Richardson is a registered nurse with 13 years of experience caring for children who have cancer and their families and 13 years of university teaching experience. Her recent research focuses on holistic child and youth health, specifically with regard to understanding how young people experience the spiritual in the context of life-threatening illness and how this relates to resilience and long-term health and development. Dr. Richardson also works collaboratively with the public school system, implementing clinical learning placements for nursing students to facilitate needs-based support and capacity building to promote socio-emotional well-being among children and youth in schools.
