Fiona Thomas is currently a doctoral candidate in the Clinical Psychology program at Ryerson University. She completed her MSc at the London School of Economics, where her thesis was focused on coping and resilience in urban refugees in Kathmandu, Nepal. Broadly, her academic interests are in cross-cultural mental health, including the adaptation, delivery, and evaluation of mental health interventions for individuals often overlooked by mainstream mental health services. For her PhD dissertation, she is examining the risk and resilience factors for comorbid psychopathology in an internally displaced population in post-conflict northern Sri Lanka.
