Daphne Hutt-MacLeod

Director-Eskasoni Mental Health Services & Nova Scotia Mi'kmaq Crisis & Referral Centre; Coordinator of Tui'kn Residential School Survivor Team at Eskasoni Mental Health Services Daphne Hutt-Macleod (MA Psych), Director of Eskasoni Mental Health/NS Crisis & Referral Centre/Tui'kn Partnership Residential School Survivor Team, has worked for over 25 years within First Nations communities as a Psychologist, Director of Health, and Interim Chief Executive Officer. She has been involved with a number of health and mental health initiatives in First Nations communities, including development of First Nation Mi’kmaw Crisis Team Intervention Guidelines and Mental Health Anti-stigma programs. Daphne has also been extensively involved in research, including ACCESS, TRAM (with Dr Ashok Malla), the Aboriginal Child Pain Project (with Dr. Margot Latimer) and Pathways to Resilience (with Drs. Michael Ungar and Linda Liebenberg).
