Arshi Shaikh, Ph.D, is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Development Studies at Renison University College-University of Waterloo and an Adjunct Professor at Laurentian University, Sudbury. She is a Registered Social Worker in the province of Ontario. Dr. Shaikh’s recent research activities pertain to the areas of family homelessness, international community development, sustainable food systems and their connections with health outcomes, and supportive housing for older adults. Her doctoral research explored resilience among women with postpartum depression and her post-doctoral research examined the interconnections among aging, health and housing.
